User research
A
study was carried out identifying the main problems that we would face,
thinking about the limitations of users due to their little or no
experience in shopping, auction or similar apps.
Pain points
1. Users have little experience using auction applications
2. Users feel insecure about managing their money, so they should be given some certainty of what they are really spending.
3. Most users want to be aware of every movement that is made in their purchase
Starting the design
Paper wireframes
This was the first sketch where the idea of first showing the works that were going to be auctioned was obtained
Digital wireframes
Usability study: findings
A test was carried out where a group of chosen people were provided with the link to the prototype where the following data was collected:- there was some confusion regarding navigability
- Despite being very abstract, it seemed clear to them that it was
- The task entrusted to them seemed easy.
Mockups
The end
Impact:
Good criticism was received on the final design where the visual aspect seemed very good in general and some criticism on the navigability which can be resolved during production. What I learned:
The most important thing I learned during this project is to avoid prejudice both in terms of users and in the design of applications, since although it may not seem so important, by avoiding them the application is surprisingly enriched.Let’s connect!
